About the project
For several stores in the Mega Image chain, KRONTAB designed and supplied the main low-voltage distribution infrastructure, centred around a 250 A main distribution board (MDB).
The solution ensures the distribution, protection and control of the electricity supply to the shop’s various categories of consumers, in a configuration tailored to the specific requirements of a commercial application.
The switchboard incorporates the power, protection, measurement, control and signalling circuits required for the operation of the installation; it is designed to ensure safety, continuity of power supply and ease of access for maintenance work.
The solution is built using Legrand equipment, selected for its reliability, performance and integration into a compact and well-organised distribution system.

Implemented solution
The Main Electrical Switchboard is the primary power distribution point for the store’s loads and installations.
The TEG is rated at 250 A and integrates the equipment required for power distribution to secondary circuits, together with protection, control and metering functions.
The functional organization of the circuits allows different categories of loads to be separated, facilitating operation of the installation and limiting the impact of a potential fault on the remaining circuits.
The switchboard was designed with a focus on equipment accessibility, clear circuit identification and the ability to carry out inspection and maintenance operations quickly.
In a commercial space, electrical installation safety is important both for protecting people and for ensuring continuity of operation of the store’s equipment and systems.
The TEG integrates the equipment required for overcurrent and short-circuit protection, residual current protection and surge protection, depending on the characteristics of the circuits served.
The distribution and coordination of protection devices are designed so that a potential fault can be identified and isolated as close as possible to the affected circuit, reducing the impact on the rest of the installation.
Power is distributed from the main switchboard to the various categories of loads and installations required for the operation of the store.
The configuration allows controlled supply of lighting circuits, socket circuits, equipment and auxiliary installations, as well as any secondary switchboards or circuits included in the project.
Functional separation of the circuits contributes to efficient distribution management and simplifies operation, inspection and maintenance activities.
