About the project
As part of the development of the PROFI network, KRONTAB has built and supplied the electrical distribution infrastructure for over 50 shops in Romania, in various retail formats – Loco A+B, Super, GO and City.
For each location, the solution was configured according to the size of the shop, the power required and the customer profile, including the main distribution board (MDB), sub-distribution boards and boards dedicated to technical areas and auxiliary installations.
The main switchboards were designed for currents ranging from 160 A to 250 A, whilst the secondary distribution system was dimensioned and adapted to the requirements of each site.
The solutions are implemented using Legrand equipment, in a unified configuration designed to ensure operational safety, continuity of power supply, clear circuit layout and easy access for inspection and maintenance.
OVER 50 SHOPS – A MULTI-SITE SOLUTION
What makes this project unique is the large number of locations and the diversity of retail formats for which the electrical switchboards were manufactured.
From local shops to larger retail premises, each location has different requirements regarding installed power, the number and type of circuits, technical equipment and the method of power distribution.
KRONTAB tailors the configuration of the switchboards to these specific requirements, whilst maintaining a consistent technical approach to design, equipment selection, circuit layout, labelling, wiring and final testing.
The experience gained from delivering over 100 sites enables us to develop an efficient and repeatable process, whilst retaining the flexibility required to adapt to each project.

Implemented solution
A Main Electrical Switchboard was installed for each store, sized according to the power requirements of the location, with ratings ranging from 160 A to 250 A.
The TEG serves as the main distribution point and integrates the equipment required for supplying, distributing and protecting the store’s electrical circuits.
The configuration is adapted to the different categories of loads and is designed to ensure functional separation of the circuits, allowing the installation to operate safely and enabling interventions without unnecessarily affecting the entire distribution system.
The internal layout, equipment identification and circuit organization are designed for easy access and maintenance, which is particularly important in the operation of an extensive store network.
