About the project
As part of the expansion project for the Philip Morris Romania facility, KRONTAB installed the low-voltage electrical infrastructure required to supply the new production unit.
The solution comprises a 1,000 A low-voltage main switchboard (TEG), which provides the main distribution of electrical power, as well as two process switchboards rated at 630 A and 400 A, designed to supply, protect and distribute power to the equipment and installations specific to the technological process.
The configuration of the switchboards has been adapted to the technical requirements of the project, with a view to ensuring safe and reliable power distribution, providing adequate protection for the circuits, and facilitating the operation and maintenance of the installation.
The switchboards are manufactured using Legrand equipment, in a robust and modular configuration, designed to operate under the specific conditions of a modern industrial infrastructure.
Benefits:
Built around the requirements of each project.
Control over the entire manufacturing process.
Equipment and systems from established manufacturers.
Every switchboard is inspected and tested before delivery.
Reliability designed for long-term operation.
Supplier of Equipment Used
Implemented solution
The Main Low-Voltage Switchboard is the primary distribution point for the electrical installations serving the new production facility.
The TEG is rated at 1000 A and integrates the equipment required for distribution, protection and control of the main circuits. Its construction allows clear circuit organization and easy access for operation, inspection and maintenance.
The solution provides:
- main distribution rated at 1000 A;
- overload and short-circuit protection;
protection selectivity; - safe distribution to downstream switchboards and loads;
- modular and robust construction;
- easy access for operation and maintenance.
The 630 A technological switchboard is designed to supply and protect the loads and equipment associated with the production process.
The configuration integrates the distribution and protection circuits required for the application, sized according to the characteristics of the connected loads. The internal layout allows clear circuit identification and facilitates technical interventions and maintenance operations.
Separating the technological distribution from the main distribution system provides a clearer electrical architecture and more efficient management of the installation loads.
The 400 A technological switchboard complements the distribution infrastructure dedicated to the equipment and installations of the new production facility.
The switchboard is configured for controlled power distribution to dedicated loads, integrating the protection required for safe circuit operation.
Its modular construction and equipment layout contribute to simple and safe operation and allow the installation to be adapted to future changes in the technological configuration.
The electrical solution was designed with a focus on operational safety and continuity of power supply to the technological loads.
Circuit sizing and protection coordination help limit the effects of a potential fault and reduce its impact on the rest of the installation. The clear organization of the distribution system facilitates circuit identification and rapid intervention during operation and maintenance activities.
The manufacturing process includes assembly, wiring, circuit identification, electrical checks and functional testing before delivery, ensuring that the switchboards are ready for integration into the electrical installation of the new production facility.
